I privately surmised that the real goal of physical Verizon stores must be to provide “added value” services in the form of selling accessories, providing tech support, etc. My experience today causes me to question that assumption and the purpose of having stores at all. This is not the first negative experience I have had or heard about at a Verizon Store, but it most certainly was my last.
In two weeks I will celebrate a milestone. That's right, I'm due for a new cell phone. In addition to changing the way we communicate and coordinate with one another, the cellular industry has influenced us in quite a few other ways during its existence. But for all its innovation, the cell phone industry is still a twentieth century retailer when it comes to their brick and mortar stores.
