The Road Scholars Plan

TRS will travel approximately 12,000 miles in 45 days. Stops are planned in over 40 major cities across the country. The TRS vehicle will be a virtual office on wheels, equipped with the latest technology to keep the Scholars connected, well-navigated, and far from scholarly boredom.

There will be an itinerary and a destination list, but concrete plans are being avoided. The goal is to be flexible and spontaneous, but to be back in 45 days.

Before getting under way each day, a brief meeting will be held to review the upcoming itinerary and daily goals. The web site will be updated daily to show TRS' current location, the next day's planned progress, and a review of the previous day, including a summary, pictures, and personal entries from each of the Scholars. E-mail will also be checked and responded to, as practicality permits.
