We finally got to sleep in today...yay! After we got up, packed our stuff, played with the dogs, Mia and Poncho, we took a walk to Sean's cousin Jenn's school. Very cool. We went picture crazy, so check them out in the scrapbook.
It was tough, but we finally tore ourselves away and got on the road about 3pm EDT headed for Sterling Virginia. The trip was uneventful except for a quick drive through Princeton, which was very beautiful. We arrived in Sterling around 9:30pm EDT at the Sterling Fire Department, where we will spend the night with Chris' cousin Justin, a Sterling County Volunteer Fire Fighter.Labels: Day 3, fire department, sterling, Virginia, Y2KRTE, Year 2000
We arrived in New Jersey early Friday morning (3ish) at Sean's mom's cousin Judy's. We had our own guest accommodations behind the main house. It may look lonely, but we had company from time to time. Just kidding, we were welcomed with open arms and big smiles to the Serin household. But our furry friend did stop by while we there, prompting the Bear Witch Project, a five-minute pursuit of the cuddly guy for five seconds of mediocre video footage.
We picked up our car in New Windsor, NJ without a hitch. After breakfast at Lenny's...er, Denny's, we headed back to New Jersey. We cruised through PA on our way to pick up some pyrotechnic supplies. This is Chris' sorry attempt at photography on the road.
Heading back to the Serin's we stopped to see the highest point in New Jersey, High Point (very original). High Point Monument was visible to us from the National car rental agency in New York. Naturally, we seized the opportunity for a photo op.
A long but very enjoyable day, we were at our
